Notes From Pastor Anthony’s Desk; December 10, 2006

Thursday morning I woke up and it was just an ordinary day. I took the boys to school, came back home, cleaned myself up a little and about 10:00 A.M. I was ready to get busy. But as I looked outside I noticed that it was snowing. Snowing? I thought, it’s not cold enough to snow. But as I went outside I realized rather quickly that the weather had changed and the temperature had dropped very quickly and it was just plain cold. My, how quickly things change.

The season’s change, we change due to our age, we change due to our health, and things may change due to additions or subtractions to your family. We may not always know the how or why of change but we can rest assured that it will come.

But as I think about change I have to admit that it can be scary at times, but then there is this very calm assurance that rests upon me. Anytime that I feel a little uncertain or afraid due to the change in my life, I am reminded that God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the Lord our God and He changes not. I praise the Lord that through very uncertain times and vastly changing circumstances of my life that I serve a God that is always the same.

So if you are facing change, if you are uncertain of what your future may hold, just remember to trust in the unchanging hand of God.

In my prayers,

Pastor Anthony
