Notes From Pastor Anthony’s Desk; December 25, 2005

Wow, this year has really been going by super fast.  Just next week we will be saying good-bye to 2005 and hello to 2006, hard to believe.

This past Wednesday night 20 people from Stanton 1^st Church of God loaded the bus and a couple cars and hopefully blessed several people with our Christmas singing. We didn’t get to go to all the places we wanted but we did our best and spread God’s good cheer to as many as we could.

After the caroling most of us accepted the gracious invitation to Brother Larry’s and Sister Doris’s lovely home and had a great time of fellowship.  I was pleasantly surprised with a birthday cake and some wonderful gifts. All of you have been so wonderful to Holly, the boys and I. We thank God for our Church family everyday.

We have a big year ahead of us, a whole lot of work to get done. There are so many people in our community that need what we have to offer. All that we need to do is be willing to give away the gift of Jesus.  I am more excited about the upcoming year at Stanton than I ever have been before. It is my hopes that you are excited too.

Holly and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing a portion of your Holy day with our family.  Let us never forget that this season is all about Him and not all about us.
