1 Peter 3: 13-17 13 Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for
what is right? 14 But even
if you do suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of
them, nor be troubled, 15 but in your hearts reverence Christ as
Lord. Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account
for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence; 16 and
keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are abused, those who revile your
good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 17 For
it is better to suffer for doing right, if that should be God's will, than for
doing wrong. This past Tuesday night we
saw a great out pouring of concern from a large group of citizens in Well sorry to say, I don’t
have all the answers. I have plans and ideas that are shared by many other men
and women in my position but we are waiting on God to set things in motion. But
even if we are unsure of what will be our next step, our scripture above tells
us what to do in the mean time. It says to do what is right!!! But what does
that mean? It doesn’t mean do what you want, or what you think is right, It means do what God thinks is right. There is a large
difference in doing good and doing what is Godly. These two are not always the
same. Many people do nothing out of fear. But I would rather be hunted
down like a 12 point Buck for doing the work of God, than I would stand before
the Lord empty handed because I was afraid to get involved. “To fear is one thing. To let fear grab you by the tail
and swing you around is another.” -Katherine Paterson I
have always heard that bad things happen when good people sit back and do
nothing. I believe that statement more everyday. So what will it be? Will you
take a stand for the right or will you stand there and do nothing? That is
between you and God. In
my prayers - Pastor
Anthony
