Notes From Pastor Anthony’s Desk; February 27, 2005

This past week I received an e-mail story that really started my spiritual mind to churning. It was about a little girl by the name of Shelby that wanted to know about the United States of America. She began to pester her father about what the United States looked like and this was interrupting his time of reading a magazine. So in an act of irritation the father thumbed through the magazine until he found a picture of a map of The United States. He ripped it from the magazine and tore it into little pieces and told Shelby to go in her room and put it back together correctly, thinking this would occupy her for quit sometime. But in just a little while here she came with the picture put together perfectly and handed it to her father. The father was astonished at Shelby’s feat and began to ask her how that she accomplished such a great task. She replied, “Oh, it was easy. On the other side was a picture of Jesus and when I got Jesus back where He belonged our country just came right together.”

 How true that little story is, but not only with our nation but also with our own personal lives. Is your life all into pieces, does it seem as if things are all out of sort? All you have to do is put Jesus in your heart and make Him Lord of your life, where He belongs and everything will start to come together again. The old song says that we can pick up our broken pieces and bring them to the Lord and He will put them back together for us. But we must first pick them up and bring them to Him.
