Notes From Pastor Anthony’s Desk; January 30, 2005

Greetings in the name above all names,

I pray that this wonderful Sunday morning finds all of you full of the joy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I could never write in this short note the caliber of words that it would take to tell all of you how excited Holly and I are to be here at The Stanton 1st Church of God and to be your Pastor. I count it a honor to be your Pastor and I will be dedicated to the cause of Christ and the edifying of this church as long as God gives me the ability and the spiritual gifts to do His will and work.

Holly, Angie and Carlena have finally gotten the house in order and it finally resembles something that a human lives in. We have been very blessed to have all the help that we have had in the last week. I want to thank all the men that helped us unload our stuff, Dave, Davie, and Steve Creech, David Baker, Donnie Richardson, Dean Rogers, Tony Watson and Lanny Rogers. Sister Lorna was a great help getting our bed ready to fall dead out in, Sister Faye and Sister Shirley Cook fixed us dinner; Sister Bonnie made me a fabulous cake, Dean Rogers brought us pizza and assembled multiple pieces of furniture. Bro. Donnie and Bro. Lanny have helped with little odds and ends for the last week, and most of all we are thankful for all the prayers and calls or visits of support that many of you have given us this week. I realize that I may have left someone out and for that I am very sorry but we are very grateful.

We look forward to serving you in the years to come and pray that you look forward to working with us in our endeavor to do the work of God’s glorious Kingdom.
